It is now kitten season. This is the season where litters of kittens are born from summer to spring. This starts from the month of April and continues to August. Kitten season kicks off when the climate is warm. There are so many stray cats who have huge litters of kittens that tend to overwhelm the SPCA. Many stray kittens are born outside where their risk of death and disease are high. If you happen to come across stray kittens, it is best to bring them to an animal shelter as soon as possible. If the kittens are less than 6 weeks old, it is best to let the Mother care for them. It is important for cats to get spayed and neutered to prevent having kittens with no safe homes to live in. As cute as they are the number of kittens that grow up to be stray ally cats are overwhelming and unsafe for cats.
