The challenges of writing and communicating today is that people get offended easily now more than ever. Communicating to a large audience has become more challenging with so many social cues involving different gender preferences, political affiliations, and other sensitive topics. To communicate clearly it is important to be politically correct or the message will often not be heard. If I were to write an article about how to keep a happy marriage in the home, I may receive backlash from many non-monogamous people who think gender roles are non-sense. An uproar may start on social media from one minor mistake which will blind people from receiving the message. People are more vocal and outspoken on social media more than ever before. This puts everyone under a certain degree of scrutiny to always be on guard. It sometimes feels like you are walking on eggshells trying to refrain from offending anyone. I do not think that this will change. It is more likely to increase as people become more vocal on multiple different platforms. I do believe that people should be less emotional reactive to words and think about the message logically before reacting emotionally.
