Broadcast differs from print writing in various ways. Broadcast writing is for the ear while print is writing for the eye. Broadcast delivers information faster than print writing as well. Turn on your television or radio and you can hear what major event is going on in the world at the click of a button. To gain access to print news you can pick up a newspaper, magazine article, or view an article online. Print writing also last forever on paper whereas once Broadcast goes off air there may be no recollection of what was said. This is sometimes untrue as people share old news that has been aired online which can surface forever. Broadcast and Print writing are both similar because they both attempt to capture the audience’s attention. They both also attempt to relay the most important information to the audience in the first sentence without loosing the reader or viewers interest.
