The shooting of Ahmaud Arbery, 25, occurred in Georgia when he was jogging through his neighborhood on a Sunday afternoon. Two men noticed him running and began to charge after him with armed weapons and shot him. The two men assumed that Arbery was a wanted suspect. This incident occurred in February and no arrest or punishment have been made against the two men who charged after Arbery and killed him. His death has drawn National attention and is seen as a hate crime by many. Many people believe that no charges or arrest have been made because one of the men, Gregory McMichael, who is 64 happens to be a former law enforcement official. People across America have voiced their outrage online and have shared videos of his murder that was caught from a nearby witness. A grand trial will finally take place but will be pushed back to June due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
